![]() Project Mirai's a very direct approach to a rhythm game, but RH is overflowing with character and style. Overall, I'd say RH tends to be way more loveable than Project Mirai. Rhythm Heaven Megamix is a musical game where the player taps away to the beat of a button to help the main character (the affectionate bear Tibby) get to. And if you really like a challenge, there's a "perfect campaign" that only allows you to clear a level if you make no mistakes at all. And then there are the Remixes, which combine games together to keep you on your toes. In another one you'll be a samurai cutting up demons, and in still another you'll make a depressed bear stress-eat. In one game, you'll be a wrestler who has to respond correctly to the interviewer, in another you'll be a farmer translating for a visiting alien. The charm comes from the variety in all the cues they eventually teach you. Every minigame has multiple cues to watch out for, and appropriate timings / button presses as responses. Rhythm Heaven is divided into individual minigames that are each a song, but you're given a small (skippable) tutorial before each one to understand how each minigame works. For a more detailed explanation, Rhythm Heaven puts less emphasis on note-by-note or beat-by-beat button presses than Project Mirai.
